GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU women's soccer team (4-2-1) looks to end its two-match losing streak this Thursday against UNCW at Johnson Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

ECU is 13-7-2 all-time against the Seahawks. The Pirates last played UNCW on September 17, 2015, falling to the Seahawks 2-0 in Greenville. ECU's last win over UNCW was September 16, 2012 when they won 2-1.

After starting out 4-0-1, ECU has lost back-to-back matches to NC State and Charlotte. Cashlin Copley scored the Pirates' lone goal against Charlotte for her second goal of the season. Copley joins Courtney Cash and Annah Lindberg as ECU's multiple goal scorers this season. Goalkeeper Michelle Newhouse had five saves against the 49ers while letting two get by moving her record 3-2-1.

UNCW is 3-4-1 and has played three nationally-ranked teams. The Seahawks have played in overtime in their last two matches. They earned a 1-1 draw against Old Dominion on Sept. 7, and defeated Appalachian State, 2-1, on Sept. 9. Kirsten Bootes and Baley Edwards both scored their first goals of the season against Appalachian State. The Seahawks leading scorers are Molly McGarry and Serenity Waters, both who have two goals apiece. Sydney Schneider has made 25 saves and holds a 0.96 goals against average for a 3-4-1 record.
