Houston held ECU to 29.8 percent shooting en route to a 65-49 win Sunday afternoon inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum for its sixth consecutive win in the series.

Houston (14-3, 4-1) outscored the Pirates 24-8 in the final 11 minutes of the first half to build a 19-point halftime lead, 36-17. The Cougars made 9-of-18 field goal attempts to end the half and held ECU (7-10, 1-5) to a pair of made baskets during that stretch. Houston stretched its lead to 24 points in the first five minutes of the second half and the led by as many as 30 with under seven minutes to play.

Freshman Shawn Williams scored 17 points off the bench on 6-of-13 shooting, burying a trio of 3s. He scored 11 points in the second half, going 4-of-8 from the floor.
