
Pirates Recognized With All-Conference Accolades

GREENVILLE, N.C. --- Twenty ECU swimming and diving student-athletes were recognized with all-conference accolades in 13 individual events and seven relays following their performances at the 2018 American Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships in Dallas Feb. 14-17.
Thirteen members of the ECU men's team finished among the top three in an event at the championships, while the Pirates' women's squad had seven earn a spot on the podium.
ECU finished as runner-up on the men's side and the women finished in third-place.
Gustavo Santos was recognized as an all-conference swimmer in five events followed by freshman Jacek Arentewicz, who finished among the top three in four events.
Tori Angermeier collected all-conference accolades in four events on the women's side while Julie Lajoie and Bridie Burke claimed honors in three events.
The NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championship will be hosted at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio from March 14-17, while the men's championship will take place at Minnesota University in Minneapolis, Minnesota from March 21-24.
