The Rainbow Wahine ended up plating four runs (three unearned) on five hits and two ECU errors to grab early control. The Pirates had a chance to answer right away, loading the bases with one out after three consecutive singles, but a pop up to first and a swinging strikeout left ECU empty handed and still trailing by four.
