
Pirates Set To Host ECU Intercollegiate At Brook Valley

The ECU men's golf team will return to action on Monday when the Pirates host the ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville.

Brook Valley is an Ellis Maples designed course which plays to a par of 72 at more than 6,755 yards.
The event will feature teams from Campbell, Charleston Southern, Elon, Gardner Webb, Georgetown, High Point, Old Dominion and Radford. ECU finished as runner-up at the event last season, finishing four strokes behind tournament champion West Virginia.

The Pirates are returning to the links for the first time in nearly three weeks, not having played since March 10-11 at the General Hackler Championships in Myrtle Beach. ECU placed seventh in the 15-team field and finished ahead of three ranked teams.
Senior Tim Conover, who finished tied for first at the ECU Intercollegiate last year, is coming off a 20th-place finish at the General Hackler Championships. He enters play this week carrying a 72.79 scoring average for the season.
He will be joined in the lineup by Jackson Spires, Patrick Stephenson, Blake Taylor and Logan Shuping. Chris Akers, Clay Brown, Tim Bunten and Stephen Carroll will participate as individuals.

The event will begin on Monday with 36-holes of play starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday's final round is  also scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
