GREENVILLE, N.C. – With just a few weeks remaining before the American Athletic Conference Softball Championship, East Carolina welcomes Wichita State to Max R. Joyner Family Stadium for a three-game set.Â
Â
Sunday's finale, which has been moved up to 11 a.m. to accommodate the Shockers' travel plans, will stream live via ESPN+.

The Pirates are currently sixth in the AAC standings while WSU is second, trailing league leader UCF by one game. The Shockers host the Knights next weekend in a series that could determine the regular season champion.

ECU got back in the win column Tuesday with a 9-1 run-rule victory over N.C. Central in Greenville. Taudrea Sinnie paced the offensive efforts with a 3-for-3 effort while Sydney Griggs notched the first two base hits of her career and scored a run as well as driving in one. Chandley Garner added two hits and two RBI. Jordan Hatch was the victorious pitcher, tossing five innings and allowing just one run on two hits. She also struck out a career-high nine batters.

The Competition
Wichita State (28-13, 10-2 AAC) has won eight-straight games and have swept Houston and Memphis in their last two league series. The Shockers outscored Memphis 43-4 in a trio of five-inning victories at home last weekend, notching a big 19-0 win in the finale.
