CONWAY, S.C. – East Carolina will be back on the field this weekend for the Battle at the Beach in Conway, S.C., Feb. 17-19. The Pirates (3-2) kick off the tournament with games against Drexel (0-0) and Colgate (2-3) on Friday and Saturday. East Carolina will end the tournament on Sunday with a single game against tournament host Coastal Carolina (4-0).Â
The Pirates went 3-2 in the UNCW Tournament last weekend, shutting out Purdue Fort Wayne twice and run-ruling UNC Wilmington in five innings. ECU was run-ruled by No. 11 Virginia Tech on Thursday but took the Hokies to the seventh inning in their second matchup on Friday before falling 4-2.
Addy Bullis and Taylor Edwards were tabbed to the AAC's Weekly Honor Roll after Bullis recorded a complete game shutout in the Pirates' 3-0 win over Purdue Fort Wayne and Edwards led the team with seven hits and seven runs for a .500 batting average after five games.

The Pirates and Dragons have only met twice, the latest meeting being Feb. 16, 2014. The Pirates have won both of the two meetings.Â

The Colgate SeriesÂ
East Carolina and Colgate met twice in Feb. 2022, with each team winning one game of the series. Â

The Coastal Carolina SeriesÂ
The Pirates and Chanticleers have a lengthy history, dating all the way back to 2006. The Pirates trail in the series with the record currently being 3-5. The most recent meeting was on Feb. 13, 2022, with the Chanticleers winning 10-4. Â
