ELON, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team is set to hit the road for a midweek matchup at Elon on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. on FloSoftball.

The Pirates (12-3) who are off to their best 15-game start since 2005, are coming off a strong home opening weekend at the Pirate Clash, capped off by a 6-4 win over Radford on Sunday afternoon.

Addy Bullis has been dominant in the circle so far with a 7-0 record and a 0.53 ERA in eight games played. Bullis only surrendered one earned run in 16.1 innings pitched over the weekend to earn AAC Pitcher of the Week honors.

Taylor Edwards leads the Pirates at the plate with a .366 batting average and has recorded a team-high four triples in 15 games and Anna Sawyer leads the team in RBI with 10.

Scouting Elon
The Phoenix are coming into Wednesday's matchup on a two-game losing skid after dropping games to Marshall (3-7) and Liberty (4-6). Claudia Penny is currently Elon's top threat on offense with a .357 batting average and a team-high nine RBI. McKenna McCard has a 1-2 record in the circle with a 3.29 ERA in five appearances.

Series History
The Pirates lead the series with the Phoenix 8-4 with the last meeting coming on Mar. 15, 2022 when ECU defeated Elon 3-0.
