GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team is set to begin a four-day homestand beginning on Thursday evening when the Pirates welcome Notre Dame to Max R. Joyner Family Stadium. First pitch is at 5 p.m. and the game will be streamed via ESPN+ with Evan Budrovich and Brittany Hoyt on the call.

The Pirates (18-6) are off to their best start to a season since 2011 and will begin their fourth and final home tournament in the Jolly Roger Invite on Friday as ECU plays Cleveland State at 2:30 p.m. and faces Ohio State at 5 p.m. Both games will be on ESPN+ and ECU will also face Presbyterian during the weekend.

ECU is coming off a 2-1 weekend in the Purple-Gold Invitational that saw the Pirates defeat UMass 8-1 before getting tripped up by the Minutewomen 4-3 and rebounding to beat Norfolk State 7-5. ECU recorded 20 hits in their two wins compared to just six hits in the loss.Â

Notre Dame leads the series with East Carolina 5-0 and the Fighting Irish defeated the Pirates 5-0 in the teams' last meeting on Mar. 10, 2019.
