GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team returns to the friendly confines of Max R. Joyner Family Stadium this weekend as the Pirates look to bounce back against Memphis beginning on Friday at 5 p.m. on ESPN+.

All games are free for the public to attend.

The Pirates dropped their doubleheader at No. 11 Duke on Wednesday, losing 11-5 in the first game and falling on a walkoff 4-3 in the nightcap. ECU has dropped seven of its last eight games but 11 of the Pirates' 23 wins have come at home.

Taylor Edwards leads the Pirates on offense with a batting average of .412 (4th in AAC), is third in the AAC with five triples (t-13th in NCAA) this season and has recorded multiple hits in 11 games to lead the Pirates. Fellow outfielder Taudrea Sinnie is second in the American in stolen bases with 17 and has been successful on every stolen base attempt. Logan Sutton leads the team in home runs with six and Addy Bullis holds a 13-8 mark in the circle with a 2.62 ERA and 82 strikeouts and is second in the AAC in innings pitched with 122.2.

Scouting the Tigers
Memphis is coming off a 2-1 win on the road against UT Martin on Tuesday after dropping three against Wichita State. The Tigers are led at the plate by Sam Ibison's .330 batting average and Aliana Zavala is the team's top scoring threat with a team-high four home runs and 18 RBI. Hallie Siems is the Tigers' top arm in the circle with a 7.44 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 88.1 innings of work.
