GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team is set to face North Dakota State on Tuesday, Feb. 13 for its home opener of the 2024 season. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. and the game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Patrick Johnson (play-by-play) and Courtney Layton (analyst) on the call.

The Pirates are off to their best six-game start since 2006 and have tallied 54 runs through six games. ECU is coming off an undefeated weekend in Charleston, defeating Cleveland State 6-2 in the final day of the Charleston Invitational.

Emma Jackson leads ECU at the plate, batting .652 (1st in AAC) and has hit two home runs on the season, both in ECU's 11-1 season-opening win over Charleston Southern. Jackson's hot start to the season has earned her Player of the Week honors from the American Athletic Conference. She is the first Pirate to garner that weekly honor since 2021. Jordan Hatch was named to the league's weekly honor roll after posting a 0.86 ERA and going 3-0 in her three starts last week.

North Dakota State enters Tuesday's matchup on a three-game winning streak after defeating UNC Wilmington 5-1 on the final day of the UNCW Tournament. Ella Claus leads the Bison at the plate with a .429 batting average and Addie Bowers hold a 0.88 ERA in eight innings pitched. The all-time series between the two programs is tied 1-1 with ECU taking the last meeting 8-6 at the Bulldog Classic on Mar. 8, 2020.
