GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team concludes its seven-game homestand on Tuesday when the Pirates welcome Elon to Max R. Joyner Family Stadium for a midweek contest.

First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. and admission is free for fans.

The Pirates (23-9, 2-7 AAC) are coming off arguably their biggest wins of the season, taking two of their three games against No. 21 Charlotte at home, capped off by an Annie Kate Dalton walk-off home run to win the series. It marked ECU's first win over a ranked foe since 2016 and was the first ranked home win since 2013. Since 2006, the Pirates had lost their previous eight three-game series against ranked teams.

Emma Jackson is hitting .431 to lead East Carolina at the plate to go along with 20 doubles and four home runs. Jackson has also recorded multiple hits in 13 games this season and has had 10 games with multiple RBI. Morgan Johnson leads the Pirates in home runs with nine along with 36 RBI and has reached base in 24 consecutive games. Taylor Apple leads the Pirates in the circle with an 8-2 mark and has tossed a team-high 69 strikeouts.

Elon enters Tuesday's contest with a 10-20 overall record and are coming off a 3-2 win over Campbell on Sunday. Mauri Murray leads the Phoenix at the plate with a .321 batting average and five home runs while McKenna McCard sports an ERA of 3.07 and a 4-4 record in nine starts in the circle.
