RALEIGH, N.C. – East Carolina graduate student Ethan Hall posted a 6-under par score of 136 to finish tied for fifth at the 1-40 Cup on Friday. The one-day, 36-hole event was being held at the Carolina Country Club (par-71, 6,304 yards) that included teams from NC State and Elon along with the Pirates.

Hall posted a first round score of 69 (2-under) and followed that with a 67 (4-under) finishing the day at 136. Four Pirates completed the event tied for seventh in sophomore Lucas Augustsson (138/-4 under), sophomore Philip Linberg Bondestad (138/-4 under), junior Tyler DeChellis (138/-4 under) and freshman Drew O'Neal (138/-4 under). Junior Carter Busse placed 14th with a score of 141 (1-under).

As a team, ECU finished tied for second with Elon (271-274) after posting rounds of 277 and 268 for a 36-hole total of 545 (-23 under). NC State took first following rounds of 279 and 260 for a score of 539 (-29 under).

ECU returns to action on Friday, April 19 when it participates in The American Championships. The three-day event will be held at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla.
