
Pirates Set to Host Dill Family Foundation Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina cross country program is set to host the newly named Dill Family Foundation Invitational on Friday morning at Overton's Lake Kristi.

The meet is set to begin at 9 a.m. with the men's 8K race with the women toeing the line at 9:45 a.m. for a 6K race. Live results will be available from Rhodes Race Timing.

Teams expected to compete in the meet include Campbell, Charleston Southern, Davidson, High Point, Louisburg, NC State, Norfolk State and UNCW.

At the 2024 edition of the Pirates' home meet, the ECU men finished seventh and the women took 11th. Erin Pope led all performers with a sixth-place finish while J Henry Lyon led the men's squad in 13th with Kaylee McCullough and Alex Sawyer also earning top 15 results.

About Lake Kristi
Located eight miles from Greenville, Lake Kristi serves as the home course for the East Carolina men's and women's cross country teams. The course has been the home to numerous cross country meets throughout the years, including four NCAA Regionals and a pair of Conference USA Championship meets. The spectator friendly course, which is nearly entirely grass with a few rolling hills and turns, is known to produce fast times and exciting results.
