ECU, Forss Lead Pirate Collegiate Classic After 36 Holes

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's golf team posted a program record second round score of 276 (12-under) at the Pirate Collegiate Classic. ECU, who leads the two-day 54-hole event by 12 stokes, fired a 36-hole score of 566 (10-under) at the Greenville Country Club (par-72, 5,944-yards).
Lisa Forss leads the overall event with an 11-under par 133 after carding rounds of 71 and 62, the latter an individual school-record 18-hole score. During second round action, she registered birdies on 10 of 18 holes and holds a six-shot lead over Florida Atlantic's Nancy Cox (139, 5-under). High Point's Makayla Grubb (141, 3-under) and Wake Forest's Chutimon Rujiranan (141, 3-under) are tied for third place.
Nicole Nash is tied for 11th following a 36-hole score of 144, even par), while Marta Perez is tied for 17th (145, 1-over), Danielle Modder is tied for 24th (147, 3-over) and Ella Stalvey holds a share of 45th (151, 7-over). Playing as individuals for the Pirates are Macie Burcham (t11th/144, even par), Isabella Taylor-Stokes (t11th/144, even par), Karsyn Roberts (t17th/145, 1-over) and Madison Rizzo (t45th/151, 7-over).
Final round action is set to begin at 7:45 a.m. (ET) with ECU's starting five teeing off from the first tee at 9:15 a.m.
