Schweitzer Set to Represent Pirates in NCAA Southeast Regional
November 13, 2025 | Cross Country
Charlottesville, V.A. – East Carolina's Abrielle Schweitzer will represent the Pirates this Friday at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships, hosted by the University of Virginia at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville. The women's 6K race is set to begin at 10 a.m. ET, featuring some of the nation's top runners and programs across the Southeast.
Schweitzer earned her spot at the regional meet following a strong sophomore campaign in which she led ECU in every race this fall. She capped her season with a standout performance at the American Conference Championships, where she became the lone Pirate to earn All-Conference honors.
Competing against a deep field that includes nationally ranked teams such as NC State, North Carolina and Virginia, Schweitzer will look to continue her momentum on one of the sport's premier stages. The top two teams and the first four individual finishers not on a qualifying team will advance to the NCAA Championships, held Nov. 22 in Columbia, Missouri.
Live results for the meet will be available at flashresults.com.
