Raleigh, N.C. – East Carolina looks to keep its winning streak alive on Tuesday evening as the Pirates visit in-state foe NC State at Dail Softball Stadium.
The game is slated for a 6 p.m. first pitch and will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
ECU is coming off a series sweep of UTSA on the road that gave Shane Winkler is 100th win as the Pirates' head coach. Emma Jackson had a stellar stretch of games at the plate last week for the Pirates, slashing numbers of .583/1.333/.706 while hitting three home runs, recording nine RBI and tallying 16 total bases to earn AAC Player of the Week honors.
Kanisha Anderson continues her hot start to the season, leading the Pirates at the plate with a .439 batting average and the slapper has recorded three triples already this season. Morgan Johnson leads ECU in home runs with eight on the year, followed by Annie Kate Dalton and Emma Jackson's six homers. Kendall Frost (3.78 ERA, 41 Ks) and Taylor Apple (2.43 ERA, 59 Ks) make up the Pirates' two-headed monster in the circle.
Scouting the Wolfpack
NC State (15-10) enters Tuesday night having dropped its last three games but the Wolfpack have been a strong team at home with a 9-2 record at Dail Softball Stadium. Michele Tarpey leads NC State's bats with a .435 batting average while Hannah Church has already recorded 24 RBI in 25 games played. Carly Maxton is the top arm for NC State in the circle with a 1.93 ERA and 48 strikeouts thrown.

NC State leads the series 16-9, having won four of the last five meetings. The Pirates won the last time they were in Raleigh, defeating the Wolfpack 4-1 on Apr. 29, 2023.
