
Zuniga Named American Conference Diving Athlete of the Week, Mueller Earns Freshman Swimmer of the Week Honors

IRVING, Texas – Frida Zuniga was named the American Conference Diving Athlete of the Week while Tanith Mueller earned American Conference Freshman Swimming Athlete of the Week honors according to an announcement from the league on Tuesday afternoon.
Zuniga earns the recognition for the fifth time this season and 12th time in her Pirate career after winning both the 1-meter (308.78) and 3-meter (359.55) last Saturday against Georgia Southern, concluding her regular season career without losing an event at home.
Mueller comes off a strong final outing in the regular season as her 200 Butterfly time last Saturday against Georgia Southern of 1:58.94 was a personal record, third best time in program history and a Minges Natatorium record.
The Pirates will return to the pool and diving well Feb. 18-21 for the American Conference Swimming and Diving Championship at the Greensboro Aquatics Center.
