ECU Student-Athletes Earn Degrees At Spring Commencement

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Eighty-six (86) current and former East Carolina University student-athletes are set to receive their degrees as part of the institution's spring commencement on Friday, May 8, recognizing both spring and summer graduates completing bachelor's and master's degree requirements as well as graduate certificates.

Kendall Benson (swimming & diving), Sadie Covington (swimming & diving), Noah Holmes (football), Anzhaé Hutton (basketball), Kaylee McCullough (track & field), Keanna Rembert (basketball), Alex Sawyer (track & field) and Molly Thomas (soccer) were the lone members of the group to earn a postgraduate degree. All 18 of East Carolina's athletic programs were represented at spring graduation with the track & field program having 15 student-athletes honored followed by football with 11, baseball with nine and swimming & diving with nine.

The list of degree programs earned by student-athletes this semester varies with Pirates earning diplomas in disciplines of art, business, communication, criminal justice, elementary education, engineering, kinesiology, marketing, psychology, public health, social work, sport management, sport studies, university studies and other areas of study.
