Pirates Fall 4-0 To App State On Senior Night

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina soccer team fell to App State, 4-0, on Thursday night at Bill Clark Homes Field at Johnson Stadium.
Prior to the match, the Pirates (0-2-3) honored five seniors: Isabella Gutierrez, Olivia Dietrich, Ella Steck, Alyssa Tucker and Sydney Cox as part of Senior Night.
App State (3-1-1) opened the scoring in the 28th minute when Hayden Petrick sent a deep cross into the box that found Ellie Garrison, who headed home the opening goal.
The Mountaineers added three more goals in the second half to pull away, including Garrison's second of the night to complete her brace.

The Pirates travel to Western Carolina on Sunday for an afternoon matchup with the Catamounts. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
