Wilmington, N.C. – The East Carolina soccer team returns to the pitch this Thursday evening when the Pirates visit in-state foe UNCW for a non-conference contest at UNCW Soccer Stadium.
The game is slated to start at 7 p.m. and will be streamed on FloCollege with Jim Whitmeyer calling the action. Fans must have an active FloSports subscription to watch the game on FloCollege.

AJ Mayock and Anna Miotto each scored a goal to help lead East Carolina to a 2-0 victory on the road over Western Carolina last Sunday. It marked the first win of the 2026 season for ECU and Mayock earned a spot on the American Conference's Honorable Mention team.

The Pirates have had multiple players put the ball in the back of the net so far this season with five different players scoring a goal in AJ Mayock, Anna Miotto, Lauryn Taylor, Caitlen-Star Dolan Boodram and Lily Ridge. In the Pirates' season opener at Liberty, Olivia Dietrich recorded 10 saves in the box, which was the most for her in a Pirates uniform. The 10 saves also marked the first time ECU had 10 saves in a match since Oct. 13, 2019 when Melanie Stiles saved 10 shots against Memphis. Dietrich ranks first in the conference in number of saves with 32 and fourth in the conference in save percentage while adding two clean sheets. Dietrich recorded four saves in ECU's draw against Campbell, helping anchor the Pirates' defense and tallied seven saves in ECU's shut out win at Western Carolina.

UNCW enters Thursday's contest off of a 1-1 draw against VCU last Thursday. The Seahawks opened the season with three straight victories including a 3-0 win at App State. Caigan Leonard and Hailey Longwell lead the Seahawks' attack with three goals each while Zoe Anderson leads the team with nine saves in five starts at goalie.

ECU leads the all-time series against UNCW 17-7-3 as the Pirates have won four of the last five meetings with the fifth and most recent meeting being a 1-1 draw in Greenville last year.
