GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina soccer team is set to return to its home pitch this Thursday evening when the Pirates host UTSA at Bill Clark Homes Field at Johnson Stadium.
Thursday evening's matchup at 7 p.m. marks the first game of a two-game homestand as ECU also hosts UAB on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. Both games are free for fans to attend and will also be streamed on ESPN+ with Zach Berly and Spencer Pattison on the call.

Caitlen-Star Dolan Boodram scored in the second half as East Carolina forced a 1-1 draw at Tulsa last Thursday to open up American Conference play.
Scouting the Roadrunners/Series History
UTSA enters Thursday evening's contest with a 4-1-3 overall mark and seeking to win its conference opener. The Roadrunners suffered their first loss of the 2026 season last Thursday, a 1-0 defeat at home to Santa Clara. Ava Jackson and Brooklyn Bailey each have three goals on the season to lead UTSA while Leah Varela leads the team in points with nine. Jasmine Keller leads the Roadrunners in saves with 26. The all-time series between ECU and UTSA is tied at 1-1 after the Pirates defeated the Roadrunners 2-1 on the road last season. UTSA took the first meeting between the two programs in Greenville with a 2-0 victory on Sept. 19, 2024.

UAB hosts Florida Atlantic on Thursday night before visiting Greenville and the Blazers currently hold a 3-5-1 overall record. Avery Berryman leads UAB in goals and points with three and eight respectively while Macie Murphy and Leah Parsons have both seen time this season in the box with five and four starts respectively. UAB leads the all-time series with ECU 5-2-6 as the Pirates have not defeated the Blazers since Sept. 30, 2012, which was a 1-0 Pirate win on the road.
