Men's Golf Set To Host Pirate Fall Intercollegiate

This year's tournament will begin on Monday, October 21 with two rounds of play beginning at 8 a.m., and will conclude on Tuesday, October 22 with a third and final round, also beginning at 8 a.m. The 19 teams slated to compete in the event are Boston College, Charleston Southern, The Citadel, Cleveland State, Davidson, Detroit Mercy, ECU, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Gardner-Webb, George Mason, Greensboro College, Hampton, High Point, Liberty, Mercer, Methodist, Pitt Community College and Towson.
Last year's event, which also took place at Bradford Creek, was won by Eastern Kentucky with a three round tally of 837. ECU's Frank Adams, III, now an assistant coach for the Pirates, took home the individual title finishing with a score of 141.
The East Carolina men have participated in three tournaments so far this fall, finishing second (Mid Pines Intercollegiate), first (Carolina First Intercollegiate) and 11th (Adam's Cup of Newport). After the Pirate Fall Intercollegiate, the men will have one tournament remaining on their fall schedule, the Georgetown Hoya Invitational, set for October 27-28 in Washington, D.C.
