Williams was named Golf News Junior Ladies Golfer of the Year for Nova Scotia in 2002. A two-time Nova Scotia Junior champion in 2001 and 2002, and an Atlantic Canada Champion in 2001 and 2002, she is currently attending Saddlebrook Prep School in Wesley Chapel, Fla. This past fall she captured medalist honors in the Central Florida High School Regional Championship.
"Michelle was a wonderful find for us," said Williams. "I really thought we were through with recruiting but Michelle's coach at Saddlebrook Prep contacted me and I feel very fortunate that she decided to join our women's program. Michelle has a wonderful golf swing and game but her maturity level is what impressed me the most. What was already a great recruiting class with the signing of North Carolina's number one ranked junior girl, Jessica Hauser in the fall, has just gotten doubled up."
