
Lady Pirate Golf Heads South For Beacon Woods Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. ? The East Carolina women's golf team has headed south to participate in the 2004 Beacon Woods Invitational at the par-72, 6,015-yard Beacon Woods Golf Club in Bayonet Point, Fla.
The Pirates (5-10-0) recorded an 11th place finish at the Cougar Invitational back on Sept. 14. Adrienne Millican recorded a 54-hole score of 225 (71-75-76) to finish tied for 24th, while freshman Emelie Lind finished tied for 32nd after posting rounds of 72, 77, and 78 for a total score of 227.
This year's tournament features 11 teams including the defending champions from USF. The field consists of UAB, UCF, USF, Stetson, Southern Miss, Louisville, James Madison, Georgia State, Florida International, East Carolina and Coastal Carolina.
Tee times Friday (Oct. 1) and Saturday (Oct. 2) begin at 8:30 from both sides of the course. Sunday (Oct. 3) is a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
