GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina freshman Ana Marie Puche (148) carded a second round score of 77 and currently sits in a tie for 11th place at the 2006 Lady Pirate Invitational. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 6,232-yard Bradford Creek Golf Course.
The Pirates (4-10-0) posted a second round score of 311 and sit in tenth place with a 36-hole score of 611. Fellow freshman Abby Bools is tied for 18th after recording a five-over par 77 for a tournament score of 149 and sits six shots off the lead. Jessica Hauser (75-80=155) is tied for 58th, while Kristen Billings (84-77=161) and Michelle Williams (82-80=162) are tied for 82nd and 84th respectively. Playing as individuals for ECU are Shawn Kelley (170) and Melanie Granville (101).
Augusta State (587) the event heading into final round action Sunday morning after a two-under par 286. Birmingham-Southern is four strokes back at 591, while UCF and Maryland are tied for third at 593.
In the individual portion of the tournament Ashley Mylton (UNCG) and Patti Hogeboom (Augusta St.) share the lead with one-under par 143. Maryland's Katie Trotter (144) is all alone in third, while Laura Jansone (ETSU) and Sara Hunt (BSU) are tied for fourth.
Final round action will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
