KITTY HAWK, N.C. --- Junior Anthony Reale shot a six-under par 64 for a share of the lead after the first round of the Seascape Collegiate hosted by Old Dominion on Monday. Reale shares the lead with Kelly Manders of Winthrop and ODU's Eric Onesi.
Senior Robin Smith fired a three-under par 67 to complete the opening round tied for sixth place and help the Pirates shoot the second-lowest team score of the afternoon, 274.
Winthrop holds a one-stroke lead over East Carolina with Campbell within four strokes of the leader and Old Dominion five strokes behind.
ECU freshman Tripp Brizendine shot a one-over par 71 to end the first round of competition tied for 22nd position. Andre Thorsen and Martin Nicholls each shot a two-over par 72 and concluded the day in 29th place.
The second round of competition begins Tuesday morning at the par 70, 6,131-yard Seascape Golf Course.
