
Harrell Wins Fifth Pitching Honor Of The Season

IRVING, Texas - East Carolina junior Keli Harrell collected her second straight Conference USA Pitcher-of-the-Week honor and fifth of the season in leading the Pirates to a series sweep of UCF. Tulsa second baseman Angela Osbon earned her first C-USA Hitter-of-the-Week honor after leading the Golden Hurricane to the school's first regular season softball championship with a series win over Southern Miss.
Harrell earned the victory in each of the Pirates' three wins over UCF on the weekend to bring her C-USA leading total to 25. The junior tossed her 27th complete game of the season in the series finale, striking out nine. For the weekend, Harrell allowed two earned runs and fanned 15 batters in 15 innings of work. Harrell increased her league-leading strikeout total to 249.
Osbon went 3-for-8 (.375) with a team-high three RBI as Tulsa took two-of-three from Southern Miss. The junior delivered the game-winning, two-run double in game one and went 2-for-3 with a RBI in the game-three victory that clinched the C-USA regular season title for the Golden Hurricane.
