
ECU Golf In First At UAB Fall Beach Bash

GOLF SHORES, ALA. - The East Carolina women's golf team continued its hot play at the UAB Beach Bash carding a first round score of 291 and currently sits in first place. The event is being played at the par-72, 5,909-yard Oak Point Golf Club.
Four Pirate golfers are in the top 20 with freshman Amber Littman, who is currently in second, leading the way with a two-under par 70 (35-35). Abby Bools is sitting in fourth after an opening round 72 (35-37), Emelie Lind is tied for fifth at one-over par 73 (35-38) and Colleen Estes owns a share of 17th place with a four-over par 76 (40-36).
ULM's Angela Drane (69) has a one shot advantage over Littman in the individual portion of the event, while her teammate Sara Larsson is in third with a 71.
The Pirates (46-14-0) hold a six shot lead over Louisiana-Monroe, who is in second place with a 297.
UT-San Antonio is third, tallying a 305 during the first round. UT-Pan American is right behind in fourth at 306 and Samford rounds out the top five with a score of 308.
Tuesday will mark the second and final day of the UAB Fall Beach Blast, with the first group teeing off at 8:00 a.m.
