BRADENTON, FLA. - Sophomore Lene Krog posted a 36-hole score of 145 (73-75) on day one of the Waterlefe/USF Invitational and current sits in second place one shot back of Araceli Felgueroso (73-71=144) of Coastal Carolina. The tournament is being held at the par-72, 5,975 yard Waterlefe Golf & River Club.
In team action the Pirates (44-39-2) posted a team score of 629 (320-309) on day one and are in fourth place, six shots out of second place. Maryland leads at 616, followed by Princeton (623), Coastal Carolina (624), ECU (629) and host school USF (630).
Individually for the Pirates, freshman Ana Maria Puche (84-78) and junior Emelie Lind (82-80) are tied for 27th at 162, while Abby Bools (81-82=163) is tied for 32nd and Jessica Hauser (88-79=167) is tied for 48th.
Final round action is set to begin Tuesday morning.
