MIAMI LAKES, Fla. - Freshman Amber Littman fired an opening round, one-over-par 73 to finish tied for third place after the first day of play at the Fourth Annual Qdoba Invitational Collegiate Golf Championships held at Don Shula's Golf Club.
Senior Emelie Lind and freshman Colleen Estes are tied for fifth after first round scores of 74 and sit three shots off the lead, which is held by Miami's Jessica Steward and Kansas' Grace Thiry.
Sophomore Abby Bools currently sits in a tie for 12th after carding a three-over-par 75, while Ana Maria Puche is tied for 32nd with a score of 78.
As a team, East Carolina (59-14) heads into Monday's second round, slated to begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., currently leads the field by four strokes with a team score of 296. Host school Miami is tied for second with Louisville at 300, while San Jose State is fourth with a score of 302.
