
Pirates Take Eight-Shot Lead Into Final Round

Miami Lakes, Fla. - The East Carolina women's golf team fired a second round score of 294 and currently has an eight-stroke lead heading into final round action at the 2008 Qdoba Invitational. The tournament is being held at Don Shula's Golf Resort.
Freshman Colleen Estes (74-72=146) currently sits in second place after a second round score of 72 and sits three strokes behind tournament leader Jessica Steward of Miami (143). Sophomore Abby Bools is tied for third at 147 (75-72, Amber Littman is tiled for fifth at 149 (73-76), Emelie Lind holds a share of eighth place at 150 (74-76), and Ana Maria Puche is tied for 17th at 152 (78-74).
Sitting in second place behind the Pirates is Louisville (598) followed by host school Miami (599), Virginia (605) and San Jose State (607).
Final round action will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
