
Bools Tied For First At Lady Seahawk Invitational

WALLACE, N.C. - The No. 24 East Carolina women's golf team recorded an opening round score of 301 and currently sit in second place at the 2008 UNCW Lady Seahawk Classic Monday at River Landing Golf Course.
The Camels fashioned an 8-over-par 296 total over the Par 72, 6,183-yard layout 35 miles north of Wilmington. The 16-team field came up one hole short of completing the second round and will finish play Tuesday after playing 35 holes Monday.
ECU (98-21-0) trails the Camels by five shots after shooting a 13-over 301 under windy, overcast skies. UNC Greensboro stands third at 303 and host UNC Wilmington, William & Mary and N.C. State are tied for fourth with 305 totals.
Individually, Diaz Cisneros shot an even par 34-38=72 and is tied with ECU's Abby Bools (38-34=72) on the leaderboard. Diaz Cisneros, a second-year player from Buenos Aires who tied for first in the Fighting Camel Spring Classic in late February, reeled off three birdies, while Bools also had three in the first round. Seven players are two shots back with 2-over-par 74's.
Emelie Lind carded a first round score of 75 (39-26) and is tied for 10th, while Colleen Estes is tied for 17th (38-38-76). Freshman Amber Littman posted an opening round of 78 (40-38) for a share of 37th place and Ana Maria Puche carded an 82 *71-71) and sits in a tie for 51st.
The teams will complete the second round at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday and immediately go into the third and final round of play.
