GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina women's golf team returns to action Friday, Oct. 9 when they participate in the 2009 Tar Heel Invitational, which will be hosted by the University of North Carolina. The three-day, 54-hole event will be played at the par 72, 6,285-yard UNC Finley Golf Course.
The Pirates (12-18), who are ranked 58th by the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index, will be joined in the 18-team field by Alabama (12), Auburn (4), Denver (6), Duke (13), Florida State (20), Kent State (28), Louisville (22), Michigan State (10), North Carolina (33), N.C. State (73), South Carolina (25), Tennessee (35), Texas A&M (19), UNC Wilmington (74), Vanderbilt (36), Virginia (21) and Wake Forest (30).
ECU will be paired with instate rival UNC Wilmington and Texas A&M on Friday teeing off of hole No. 10 at 9 a.m.
