ECU Sits In 14th With 18 Holes Remaining

PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Falling two spots from opening day, the East Carolina women's golf team concluded the second round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge sitting in 14th place with 18 holes remaining.
The Pirates fired a team score of 327 at the par 72, 5,912-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes, Calif. for a two-day total of 651 (326-327). Top ranked Arizona State remains in first place with a score of 599 (+31).
Leading ECU after 36 holes is junior Abby Bools who is tied for 47th with a total of 162 (+20). Sophomore Amber Littman shaved two strokes off her first round score of 83, moving up one spot to a share of 53rd (164). Sitting in a tie for 59th place are sophomore Colleen Estes and freshman Amy Otteson with two day totals of 165. Rounding out the Pirates five-man team is junior Ana Maria Puche, who carded a second round score of 86 and fell to a tie for 64th after opening the tournament with an 80.
Hosted by the Ohio State Buckeyes, the 54-hole Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge will conclude Wednesday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring for the event is available at www.Golfstat.com.
