JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sophomore Amber Littman recorded a 36-hole score of 141, which included a personal-best round of 67 and currently is tied for first place at the inaugural JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational. The tournament is being held at the par-72, 6,282-yard Eagle Landing Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla.
Littman (74-67) recorded 26 pars during the first 36-holes of the event and is tied with Kennesaw State's Ashley Agiulera in first place at 141. She registered an eagle and five birdies during the first 36 holes and leads the event in par four scoring (3.75). Rounding out the top-three is Rachel Edwards (USF) who sits one stroke back at 142.
Fellow Pirate Ana Maria Puche (71-74=145) is tied for fifth with 18-holes remaining, while freshman Amy Otteson (76-74=150) is tied for 13th. Puche tied her career-best round of 71 on her way to 28 total pars on day one of the event. Otteson also tied her career-best round of 74 and finished with 29 during the first 36-holes.
Abby Bools is tied for 47th after posting rounds of 77 and 79 for a 156 and Colleen Estes is tied for 59th after a two-day score of 161 (79-82).
In the team portion of the event, ECU is tied for third with a tournament score of 592 (298-294) and trails current leader Chattanooga (291-292=583) by nine strokes. Kennesaw State is six shots behind in second with a score of 589, while USF is tied with the Pirates in third.
Final round action will begin Tuesday morning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
