Date Set For 2009 Pirate Cup

GREENVILLE, N.C. --- The 2009 Pirate Cup will be held Friday, October 16 as a part of Homecoming Weekend at the Ironwood Country Club East Carolina University athletic officials announced Wednesday. All proceeds from this golf tournament will benefit the men and women's golf programs at ECU as well as help offset the costs of hosting the 2010 NCAA Women's East Regional.
Teams will be comprised of a foursome along with a current Pirate golfer. The Pirate Cup will be played using a modified scramble format with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Entry fees are $800 per team or $200 for an individual. All registration forms and fees must be submitted to the Pirate Club by October 2.
