
Littman Stands In Fourth After 18 Holes

BOULDER CITY, Nevada - Senior Amber Littman carded an opening round 69 (36-33) and currently sits in fourth place after 18 holes at the 2010 Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The event is being held at the par-72, 6,329-yard Boulder Creek Golf Club.
Littman's round of three-under par is six strokes back of Arkansas' Emily Tubert (33-30=63) and one stroke behind Karinn Dickinson (Washington) and Kayala Mortellaro (Idaho), who fired rounds of 68. The Stoney Creek, N.C. native registered an eagle on No. 13, a par-5, 502-yard hole, and added four birdies on the afternoon.
Raphaela Dyer (Oregon), Martina gavier (Kent State) and Kelli Shean (Arkansas) are all tied for fifth with rounds of 70.
Freshman Fanny Wolte is tied for 44th after posting a four-over 76 (40-36) which included birdies on the final three holes. Colleen Estes is tied for 64th after recording a six-over 78 (40-38). Rounding out the Pirates roster are junior Amy Otteson (39-42=81/t84) and Julia Strandberg (41-41-82/t89).
In the team portion of the event, No. 19 Arkansas holds a commanding 17-shot lead over No. 33 Washington (294) after posting an impressive 11-under 277. Louisville (No.35) and Arizona (No. 11) are tied for third at seven-over (295), while host UNLV (No. 40) and Kent State (No. 26) are tied for fifth with rounds of eight-over 296.
