
Pirates Tied For Second At Edwin Watts

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - East Carolina's Abby Bools (146) and Amber Littman (146) carded second round scores of 75, three-over par, and are currently tied for ninth place with 18 holes remaining at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic. The event is being held at the Cougar Point and Oak Point Golf Courses and includes 33 teams.
The Pirates, who are tied for second with East Tennessee State at 595 (290-305), are four strokes behind tournament leader Augusta State (284-307=591). Sitting in fourth is Minnesota (303-297=600) and two strokes behind the Gophers are Western Carolina (293-309=602) and Middle Tennessee State (303-299-602).
Sophomore Amy Otteson (152) and senior Ana Maria Puche (152) are tied for 30th, while junior Colleen Estes (163) is tied for 119th.
Crystal Reeves, from Oral Roberts, shot a 68 today and a 72 in the first round and leads the tournament with a four-under 140. East Tennessee State's Nina Muehl and Sinead O'Sullivan are tied for second with a 142 each.
The Pirates are among the Top 20 teams and will play the third and final round at Oak Point. Akron fired a 634 and just missed the cut by one stroke and will lead the remaining 13 team at Oak Point competing for the Flight Championship.
East Carolina tees off at Oak Point from holes one, two, three and four in a shotgun format beginning at 9 a.m. in third round action Tuesday.
