
Otteson Tied For 28th After 36 Holes

SORRENTO, Fla. - Sophomore Amy Otteson posted an opening day 151, seven-over par and currently sits in a tie for 28th place at the 2010 UCF Challenge. The event is being held at the par-72, 6,301-yard RedTail Golf Club.
Otteson, who is eight shots out of fifth place, carded a first round 77 and followed that up with a two-over par 74 to improve 10 spots from the morning round to the afternoon round. Abby Bools is tied for 43rd with a 36-hole score of 154 (78-76), while Amber Littman is three shots back at 157 (83-74) and is tied for 54th. Rounding out the Pirates (67-41-1) squad are junior Colleen Estes (77-81=158/t61st) and senior Ana Maria Puche (79-82=161/t69th).
In the team portion of the event, ECU is tied for 14th with a score of 616 (311-305) sitting 25 strokes behind tournament leader Georgia State (292-299=591), who is 15-over par. Texas A&M (293-305), Baylor (300-298) and tournament host UCF (301-297) are all tied for second at 598, while Oklahoma (298-301=599) and College of Charleston (299-300=599) are tied for fifth.
Heading into final round action, the Aggies sit one-two atop the individual leader board with Julia Boland (65-75=140) holding a slime one-shot lead over Sarah Zwartynski (70-71=141). Charlotte Lorentzen (68-74=142/Georgia State) and Katie Detlefsen (73-69=142/UCF) are tied for third, while Natalie Wille (73-70=143/Augusta State) and Paola Valerio (68-75=143/UTSA) round out the top five.
