
Pirates In 12th With 18 To Play

PINEHURST, N.C. - The East Carolina women's golf team fired a 304 in the first round and a 311 in the second round and sit in a tie for 12th place after 36 holes of the Pinehurst Spring Challenge being held Mar. 22-23 at Pinehurst No. 6.
Abby Bools leads the Pirates and is tied for 25th with a 151 (74-77), while Amy Otteson is tied for 38th with a 153 (77-76). Amber Littman shot a 154 (77-77) and is tied for 45, while Ana Maria Puche's 158 (76-82) puts her in a tie for 59th. Rounding out the Pirates is Colleen Estes' 168 (87-81) which is tied for 91st.
Florida State is first with a 577 after shooting a tournament-low 287 in the first round. Campbell and Maryland are tied for second, 18 strokes out. The Cougars are just two strokes from the top 10 with their 614.
Maryland's Christine Shimel leads for individual medalist honors with a 139 after firing a 68 in the second round. Charleston Southern's Olivia Higgins and Florida State's Lacey Agnew are tied for second with a 142 each.
