Bools Takes Home Fourth C-USA Honor

IRVING, Texas - East Carolina senior Abby Bools has been named Conference USA Women's Golfer-of-the-Week after recording her 21st-career top-10 finish at the Pinehurst Challenge. This marks her ninth career Golfer-of-the-Week honor and her league-best fourth of the season.
Bools finished in 10th place at the Pinehurst Challenge after carding a three-round total of 223 (74-77-72). The senior guided the Pirates to an eighth-place finish in the 18-team field. The Hickory, N.C., native lowered her season average to 74.58, which is the second-lowest single season average in school history. The Pinehurst Challenge featured 93 players and Bools shared the lead in birdies with 39, while ranking among the tournament leaders in par-5 scoring at 4.75.
Bools and the Pirates will be back in action on April 10 when they host a Tri-Match with North Carolina and Virginia at Ironwood Country Club.
