Varner Named C-USA Co-Golfer-of-the-Week

IRVING, Texas --- East Carolina senior Harold Varner has been selected as Conference USA Co-Golfer-of-the-Week after his individual medalist performance at the AutoTrader.com Collegiate Classic. He shares the weekly honor with UAB's Sam Love and Rice's Jeff Wibawa.

Varner fired an 8-under 208 to earn the second collegiate victory of his career, leading the field from start to finish. Varner topped six opponents ranked in the top 100 golfers in the nation, according to GolfStat.com and led the Pirates to a third-place finish.

The award is Varner's fourth career C-USA weekly honor.
