
ECU's Struggles Continue At UCF Challenge

SORRENTO, Fla. - East Carolina's Amber Littman (145) carded a three-over par 75 and currently sits in a tie for 14th place after 36 holes of the UCF Challenge at RedTail Golf Club.
Littman, who opened the round on the back nine, was two-under par through four holes before recording a double-bogey and three bogies to close out the back nine with a three-over par 39. She got back on track with a birdie on Hole No. 1 before giving it back on the ninth green with a bogey.
Fanny Wolte improved her position by 12 spots after a three-over par 75. On the day she recorded five birdies and six pars and is tied for 48th with a seven-over 151. Amy Otteson is tied for 57th with a 10-over 154 (76-78), while Colleen Estes (77-80=157) is tied for 74th and Faith Hardison (86-76=162) holds a share of 86th place.
Coastal Carolina (574) overtook first place with a one-over 289, while No. 35 South Carolina (578) is four strokes back after carding the best score of the day, a four-under par (294). Fourteenth-ranked Tulane (579) dropped to third place with a seven-over par 295, while Kentucky (582) and No. 37 Minnesota (583) round out the top-five.
Jessica Alexander (Coastal Carolina) leads the individual portion of the event with a nine-under 135 (66-69). Kentucky's Ashleigh Albrecht (66-70=136) is second and Tulane's Ashley McKenney (70-68=138) is two shots back in third.
Final round action begins with a shotgun start Tuesday morning.
