ORLANDO PARK, Fla. - The East Carolina women's golf team posted a two-over par 290 and moved up one spot to second place at the JMU Eagle Landing Invitational. The 54-hole event is being held at the Eagle Landing Golf Club.
Leading the way for the Pirates (64-32-2) are senior Colleen Estes and junior Amy Otteson, who both are tied for second place with a two-day score of 146. Estes posted a one-over par 73, while Otteson carded a one-under 71 on Saturday. Reigning Confernece USA Golfer-of-the-Week Fanny Wolte (149) is tied for 16th after posting a two over par 74 on the day. Amber Littman (154) and Sarah Almond (156) are tied for 41st and 51st heading into final round action on Sunday. Playing as an individual, Julia Strandberg is tied for 87th at 164.
The Pirates (594) trail 34th-ranked Chattanooga (581) by 13 shots, but hold a comfortable nine-shot lead over in-state for Campbell (603). Rounding out the Top-5 sitting in a three-way tie for fourth are USF, Illinois and Miami (Fla) all with a tournament score of 604.
Christine Wolf (Chattanooga) carded a tournament-low six-under par 66 and holds a five shot lead over Estes, Otteson, Briana Carlson (FGC) and Emma de Groot (Chattanooga) at 146.
