Men's Cross Country Places Third At Three-Stripe Invitational

CARY, N.C. - The East Carolina men's cross country team continued its busy week and participated in the Three-Stripe Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 3 in Cary, N.C. at the WakeMed Cross Country Course. The team finished third at the competition with 75 points and an average time of 16:57.20.
Sophomore Tevin Richardson led the squad and placed 23rd in the competition with his time of 16:20 in the 5K event. The time was a season and career-best for the Nashville, N.C. native. Redshirt sophomore Chase Miller was just a few spots behind him in 25th with a 16:26. Also finishing in the top-30 for ECU was senior Antonio Palmer in 29th in 16:48.
The next group of three finishers for ECU was headlined by freshman Dylan Traywick's 17:04 in 32nd. Fellow rookie John Young was the next to cross the finish line for the Pirates with an 18:08 in 33rd place. Sophomore Brandon Dunford also competed at the race and finished in a season-best time of 18:24 for 34th place.
The men's and women's cross country squads are next in action at the NCAA Regional in Charlotte, N.C. on Nov. 9 starting at noon.
