
Schweitzer Earns All-Conference Honors as ECU Closes Regular Season at American Championships

CONCORD, N.C. –The East Carolina cross country teams wrapped up their season Saturday morning at Frank Liske Park, competing in the American Conference Championships. Abrielle Schweitzer led the Pirates with a standout performance, earning All-Conference honors.
Schweitzer placed 15th overall in the women's 6K with a time of 20:59.2, securing her spot among the conference's top finishers. She maintained a steady pace throughout the race, over the final kilometer to move into the top 15.
The Pirate women placed seventh overall with a team score of 218 points and a total time of 1:50:45, led by Schweitzer's top finish.

On the men's side, Alex Sawyer once again paced the Pirates, finishing 39th overall in the 8K with a time of 24:52.4. Judah Lacroix and Elliott Kleckner followed close behind. At the same time, Will Palopoli and Aidan Herman rounded out ECU's scoring five. The Pirate men finished 11th overall with 292 points and a team time of 2:11:39.
