Pirates Tied For Second At Wolfpack Intercollegiate

RALEIGH, N.C. - The East Carolina men's golf team is tied for second-place after round one of the 2012 Wolfpack Spring Intercollegiate being held at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course on NC State University's Centennial Campus. The Pirates and host NC State each fired a six-over 294 and trail first-place Lamar (292)by two strokes.
A pair of Pirates are in the top-10 after round one with Zach Edmondson and Adam Stephenson tied for eighth-place at 1-over 73. The duo is two strokes off the lead shared by Lamar's Luke Jerling, Loyola's Jay Mulieri and NC State's James Chapman. The leaders all fired a 1-under 71.
ECU seniors Harold Varner and David Watkins sit three strokes behind the leaders at 2-over 74, tied for 16th. Eric Brady and Ryan Eibner each shot six-over 78.
