
ECU Heads to American Conference Cross Country Championships

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Tulsa, Okla., on Friday, Oct. 31, to compete in the 2014 American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships.
The women's 6K race will kick off the day with an 11 a.m., shotgun start, followed by the men's 8K event at 11:50 a.m.
The American Digital Network will provide live coverage of the men's and women's races, which will be completely free of charge and available on desktop, mobile and tablet devices. Fans can follow The American's official track and cross country twitter handle (@AmericanXCTrack) for all information regarding the championships.
ECU will be well-rested entering its first championship meet of the season, as its last competition took place Oct. 17 at the Blue Ridge Invitational in Boone, N.C. The men's team placed sixth at a distance of 6,400 meters in that meet, while the women took fifth in their 5K race.
