ECU Holds One Shot Lead At Lady Pirate Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina carded an opening day score of 595 (19-over) and currently holds a one-shot lead at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate. The two-day, 54-hole event is being held at the Brook Valley Country Club.
The Pirates, who posted rounds of 297 and 298, hold a slim lead over Old Dominion (596/20-over) heading into final round action Tuesday. William & Mary (612/36-over) is third followed by Gardner-Webb (614) and Georgia Southern (615).
Freshman Catherine Ashworth (74-74) and senior Nicoline Engstroem Skaug (76-72) are currently in a four-way tie for fifth place at 148 (4-over), just one shot out of second and six behind tournament leader Alessandra Liu (142) from William & Mary.
Sophomore Lisa Pettersson (74-75) is tied for ninth after her scored of 149 (5-over), while senior Frida Gustafsson Spang (73-77) sits one stroke back in a tie for 12th. Freshman Kate Law (79-77) rounds out ECU's lineup and is tied for 37th with a score of 156 (12-over). Playing as an individual is senior Lane Gakeler (93-88), who is tied for 88th with a score of 181 (37-over).
